About
I’ve worked in the IT industry for 25 years as a software developer. The last 10 years have been in software architecture. I have lead development teams, facilitated trainings and run mentorship programs. Because of intense personal development, I learned a lot about myself and about leadership. I also experienced my fair share of mature and immature leaders along the way. 3 years ago, I “put away the compiler” for good. I realised that I was adding more value to the teams I work with as a catalyst, rather than as someone who could complete coding tasks quickly.
My personal development journey started in 2013. Through various forms of workshops, groups and trainings, I began the long journey of tuning in to my feelings and instincts, and integrating shadow. Because of this, I felt more comfortable within my own skin, and connected with a greater sense of purpose. After that, I realised I was growing as a facilitator and as a leader. I also learned to like myself a lot more than I used to, and started to feel a need to give back. My purpose centers around building conscious, emotionally intelligent leaders. I judge that the world needs more leaders like that, and so do their colleagues, and their families.
And you could be the next one!
In 2017 I decided to study coaching seriously. My intention was to work with more people and to help them to improve their lives, their relationships, and communities. After completing a 2-year part-time postgraduate diploma in coaching, I got credentialed with the ICF. In addition, I also certified as an Enneagram practitioner, and have been coaching part-time ever since. I still work full-time in IT.
Most importantly, what I love about coaching leaders is witnessing their breakthroughs, and observing the ripple effect these shifts create in their lives.
